Is anyone able to help please - we’re in Scotland and our Ducato has an amber warning light showing: Start/Stop not available and Check Adblue system. Adblue level is fine. Now got a countdown until the engine won’t restart!! RAC diagnosed a P0217 code. Anyone know what this is or any fixes? What is the "nominal" consumption? The model engine's appetite for AdBlue is determined at the level of 3-5% of fuel consumption (in theory, 3-5 liters of the agent per 100l of fuel). Driving under heavy load (e.g. with a heavy trailer), uphill, at high speed, high revs - these are the main factors that can increase consumption even several times. Started engine and the warning was still at 25 miles and Adblue light still flashing. Thought maybe it took some time to work itself in before sensor picked it up. Drove 50 miles , immobiliser warning came up. Reached destination and turned off engine. Vehicle is now immobilised with a full tank of Adblue in it! AdBlue. AdBlue is a diesel exhaust fluid that ensures optimal performance and reliability of your Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system. It's a quality guarantee you can rely on time after time, fill after fill. Available at the pump or in convenient 10L packs at selected locations. This urea-based technology has been adopted by vehicle CPs5. AdBlue injection was introduced on the Series 7 Ducato. The only drawback is that the space required for the additional urea tank has forced Fiat to fit a slightly smaller diesel tank. Fortunately, the increased fuel efficiency of the Series 8 means that some cruising range has been restored. Learn more about AdBlue. Reg 65 said: Ducato 2.3 built Dec 2020. Ad Blue Low came on. Filled up after about 100 miles. Ad Blue Light went off. End of. If it was low you should have got at least 10 litres in. I have put more than 60l in my tank. Good for you. I can get more than 70l in my Volvo tank which is more than stated capacity. I am only quoting a previous poster saying all Ducatos have a 90l tank but only the heavy chassis can fill to that for reasons he stated. If you can get 90l in I'm happy for you. First, check that the pump is clean and free of debris. If it’s dirty, simply clean it with a brush or cloth. If the pump is clogged, you may need to replace the filter. If the problem persists, it’s likely that the pump itself is damaged and will need to be replaced. Fortunately, AdBlue or DEF pumps are relatively inexpensive and easy to find.
